About Us
The Growlers are a recent addition to the SCC Rugby Section. In their inaugural season in 2009 this over 35's unit took the second division by surprise and only lost one game in the season - the grand final against the club's own under 23's side. The following year was similar and the Growlers were second in the league but won the cup.


The side's reputation has grown and many retiring premiership players now elect to join the Growlers instead of the Tankards as they slow down. The youngest player is 35 and we have fielded many over 50s in the last few years.
